Numis is a peer-advised high school student journal and blog dedicated to analyzing the most interesting and timely subjects in finance, business and economics.

What does the name "Numis" mean?

The name Numis is derived from "numismatic," which relates to coins and currency, and which originates from the Latin word "nummus," for "coin."

What is Numis' purpose?

Numis' purpose is to encourage students to research and write about the financial markets and other topics of academic interest in macroeconomics and microeconomics. At Numis, we believe strongly in cultivating diverse viewpoints, well-reasoned arguments, and thoughtful, courteous debate.

How does Numis source its articles?

Numis solicits articles from students at some of the finest high schools across the United States for consideration and publication. Unsolicited submissions are also highly encouraged and welcomed.
